Scholarships

The Eastern States Exposition offers a robust scholarship program that recognizes and rewards achievements by the 7,100 4-H and Future Farmers of America student exhibitors at ESE competitions during The Big E and non-fair events.

In 2025, ESE Agriculture programs awarded over $500,000 in cash premiums and $119,000 in scholarships during The Big E and over $100,000 in awards at non-fair agricultural events.

In 2025, ESE Horse Show programs awarded over $85,000 in cash premiums.

ESE Trustee Scholarships

Trustees from each of the 6 ESE founding New England states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island award annual scholarships to students who have actively participated in Exposition youth programs.

ESE Scholarships to West Springfield High School

Each year, ESE recognizes three outstanding graduates from West Springfield High School who are continuing their education. ESE scholarships honor local students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and commitment to community. By investing in the next generation, ESE is supporting the future of Western Massachusetts.

ESE 4-H Beef Auction Scholarships

Each year, the ESE 4-H Beef Committee awards scholarships to high school seniors who are past or present participants in the ESE 4-H Beef Program for 2 or more years.
