For 110 years, Eastern States Exposition (ESE) has been proud to call West Springfield home. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, ESE reinvests in the community through direct financial support, municipal partnerships and charitable giving that strengthen the town year-round.
One of the organization's longest-standing commitments is the Eastern States Exposition–West Springfield Trust. Funded annually with one percent of ESE's gross operating revenue, ESE has invested more than $6.09 million into the Trust since 1995 to support local schools, youth programs, senior services, veterans, community organizations and other initiatives that enhance the quality of life for West Springfield residents.
Beyond the Trust, Eastern States Exposition is one of the Town of West Springfield's largest economic contributors. In 2025 alone, ESE provided more than $2.2 million in direct payments and community support through real estate taxes, public safety services, utilities, municipal fees, complimentary admission for West Springfield schools, support for West Springfield High School graduation and resident parking benefits. These investments complement ESE's broader regional impact, generating more than $1.2 billion in annual economic activity across New England and New York while supporting thousands of jobs and local businesses.
West Springfield's success and Eastern States Exposition's success have always been connected. By investing in its host community today, ESE is helping ensure a stronger future for the town it has proudly called home for more than a century.
