Agriculture

The Big E is the cornerstone of ESE’s Agriculture programs. The Big E is one of the oldest and 4th largest agricultural fairs in the US. Founded to support and advance New England agriculture, its mission remains rooted in promoting and strengthening agriculture by educating consumers and increasing awareness of agriculture’s impact. During its 17-day run, The Big E welcomed over 1.5MM visitors in 2025. Big E agricultural programs include over 200 regional and national livestock shows with over 3600 livestock exhibits representing 32 states and 2 Canadian provinces. Outside of the Big E, ESE agriculture programs include 4 National livestock shows, 9 Regional Livestock shows, and 25 dog shows.

Horse Shows

The ESE Horse Show holds a distinguished place in American equestrian history as one of the oldest and most respected horse shows in the country. The ESE Horse Show runs for 11 of 17 days during The Big E with representatives from 19 US states and 3 CAD provinces. The ESE Horse Show is comprised of the Hunter Show, Saddlehorse Show, Draft Horse Show and 4-H Horse Show and includes over 300 exhibitors. Historic Preservation
Storrowton Village

Storrowton Village represents a typical 18-19th century New England village located on ESE grounds. It provides hands-on learning opportunities for children and families to observe and experience life in colonial New England. Programs include "A Day in the Past" where students dress and act in accordance with 1800s life in New England and "Early American Summer Days" where children join themed activities and experience colonial crafts, games and chores. Storrowton Village celebrates seasonal New England festivals throughout the year and provides an immersive opportunity for children and families to experience New England colonial life.
