EASTERN STATES EXPOSITION PRESENTS MEDIA AWARDS AT THE MASSACHUSETTS AGRICULTURAL FAIRS ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

On Saturday, November 15, members of the Eastern States Exposition (ESE) staff, led by ESE President and CEO Gene Cassidy, traveled to Devens, Mass., to present media awards at the Massachusetts Agricultural Fairs Association (MAFA) Conference.

MAFA exists to encourage, promote and preserve agricultural activities in the commonwealth through its members and programs. They seek to further these interests by educating the public regarding the importance of agricultural history and knowledge within individual communities and across the state.

Each year at their convention, MAFA’s members gather for a weekend of celebrating the hard work of Massachusetts fairs. This year, MAFA President Bruce Cooley, State Representative Natalie Blais, State Fire Marshal Matt Murray and Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources Commissioner Ashley Randle were guest speakers. The itinerary included a trade show, networking opportunities, board meetings and the presentation of the media awards. Recipients for the awards are handpicked by members of the ESE staff.
