JESSICA COTE JOINS EASTERN STATES EXPOSITION AS FULL-TIME OFFICE COORDINATOR

Jessica Cote of Longmeadow, Mass., has started a new role at Eastern States Exposition (ESE) as office coordinator. She brings her skills as a detail-oriented, self-directed administrative professional to the team and she will handle day-to-day receptionist operations, general communications and administrative tasks for the Marketing department. Cote is now the face of guest services for ESE, especially during The Big E.

Cote has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism from the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst. While pursuing this degree, her studies concentrated on hotel, restaurant and travel administration.

Her most recent roles have been with Longmeadow Public Schools. She began as a middle school secretary and eventually became administrative assistant to the Special Education department. She completed organizational tasks, prepared complex reports, supported Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and more.

For more than a decade, she co-owned and operated Doc’s Place, a bar notorious for its karaoke nights and a cultural hallmark of Chicopee, Mass. She managed vendor relations, staffing, inventory and finances. Prior to this, she was an office manager and later an assistant service manager at Balise Ford of Wilbraham, Mass.

Cote is also the founder of Life Edit Virtually, through which she supported solo professionals, small business owners and busy households by managing schedules, creating email newsletters, organizing task lists and more.

Cote is most excited to bring her “organizational skills, creativity and can-do attitude” to her new position at ESE. When asked why she chose this organization for her next career endeavor, she stated, “The community feels like a family. They provide The Big E and more to the region and bring people together. Their events carry on old traditions and fair culture while also building new traditions.”

ESE is thrilled to have Cote as the new face of the Brooks Building in West Springfield, Mass.
