ESE Promotes Agriculture at Springfield Regional Chamber Beacon Hill Summit
On Wednesday, April 30, members of the Springfield Regional Chamber made a formal expedition to the Massachusetts State House for their annual Beacon Hill Summit. Tim Garstka, director of Sales, and Sam Roberts, Hooplandia event coordinator, both attended as representatives of Eastern States Exposition (ESE), intent on promoting the organization’s mission during the gathering.
The Springfield Regional Chamber is a collaborative network that champions the interests of Western Mass. businesses through social initiatives and legislative advocacy. The Beacon Hill Summit is a day-long event and the largest regional business conference welcomed by the Massachusetts State House. Throughout the day, key legislators, members of Governor Maura Healey’s administration and other leaders converge at the capitol to take cognizance of the needs of movers and shakers in the business community.
This event affords members of the Springfield Regional Chamber a unique opportunity to convey their ideas and concerns with political leaders in a direct manner. This year, the keynote speaker was Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll.
“We are so blessed to have a platform to promote the agricultural mission of Eastern States Exposition, which advocates for family-owned and -operated farms, local businesses and regional tourism in greater Western Mass.,” said Garstka. “We were proud to make the trip with these incredible business owners.”
ESE is grateful to the Springfield Regional Chamber for coordinating this forum and welcoming trailblazing individuals and organizations from the city of Springfield and its surrounding community to express their needs to those with legislative authority.
