Sweater Together: The Fiber Festival of New England Returns, Nov. 7 & 8

The first full weekend of November brings The Fiber Festival of New England back to Eastern States Exposition (ESE), who partners with the New England Sheep and Wool Growers Association to host an event full of quality wool and shear brilliance at the Mallary Complex in West Springfield, Mass., on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9am-5pm, and Sunday, Nov. 8, from 9am-3pm.

This event welcomes attendees into a world of wool and other fiber products. Craft demonstrations and live animal displays line the aisles of the complex, ensuring that there is plenty to see. Watch sheep shearing demonstrations, take an inside look at the production process, access limitless thread counts and browse a vast array of high-quality, cozy items for purchase.

The Fiber Festival presents the perfect opportunity to treat friends, family or oneself to unique, handmade items in time for the holiday season. More than 150 vendors will showcase their products, including clothing, quilts, blankets, rugs, looms, spinning wheels and more.

More than 20 workshops for varied skills allow attendees to try their hand at broom making, felting, dyeing, painting, jewelry making, spinning, punch needling, basket making, botanical printing and rug hooking.

Throughout the entire weekend, witness sheep shearing demonstrations and participate in the raw wool fleece sale, both held in the Mallary Complex and open to all attendees.

Make a day of it by visiting the ESE Farmers Market and Wine Café, which offers award-winning wines, produce, cheeses and products sourced from the best of New England. Shopping is available 9am-5pm on Saturday and 9am-3pm on Sunday.

With numerous educational entertainment, shopping opportunities and instructional workshops, The Fiber Festival of New England is the perfect way to cozy up and spend your fall weekend.
