NOELLE GIOMBETTI SPENDS SUMMER INTERNING WITH EASTERN STATES EXPOSITION
Noelle Giombetti of Wilbraham, Mass., is spending her summer as a human resources intern at Eastern States Exposition (ESE). She brings her experience in customer service, organizational skills and her collaborative approach to projects to the company as she meets with the members of each team to complete, file and digitize important paperwork, ensuring seamless cross-departmental communication.
Giombetti is an alumnus of Minnechaug High School and is entering her sophomore year at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., where she is majoring in business management with a minor in psychology. She is recognized as an outstanding scholar on the Dean’s List and was the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship.
Her previous work experience includes food service roles at Pafumi’s, Great Horse Country Club and Cima Restaurant and Chophouse. Through each of these positions, she learned to interact with the public, became comfortable speaking on the phone and maintained a high standard of cleanliness at each establishment.
Her most relevant experience would be a stint as an office assistant at Giombetti Associates of Wilbraham, which is her father’s company. There she organized and filed billing documents, improved billing process efficiency and streamlined preexisting office procedures.
“I knew I wanted to study business, but I chose psychology as a minor because of the personality exams and learning how people interact,” said Giombetti. “I hope to prepare for a role in Giombetti Associates. I love watching my dad work. He’s good at his job, and I love to watch him work. We are very similar, so I think this HR experience will help me grow.”
Outside of the workplace, she volunteers her time as an event facilitator at community events hosted by St. Cecilia’s Church, her local parish, including their annual Christmas pageant.
When asked why she desires to work at Eastern States Exposition, Giombetti said, “What Jessica K. Fontaine, the Director of Human Resources and Education, and Samanatha DePergola, the Assistant Director of Human Resources and Education, told me made it sound like ESE was everything I was looking for. I’m working with a team, interacting with the behind the scenes of HR and witnessing people working together. It’s all relevant experience.”
Giombetti is growing in her multitasking abilities, communication skills and organizational talents, honing each quality for the workforce beyond ESE. The not-for-profit is proud to encourage such professional development and growth and wishes Giombetti well in the impending semester.
