Nathan Sarrazin Continues Marketing Internship

Nathan Sarrazin of South Hadley, Mass., began an internship with the Marketing department at Eastern States Exposition (ESE) in June of 2026. Following his impressive performance throughout Hooplandia and The Big E, he was asked to continue as an intern following the 17-day Fair. In this role, he captures photo and video content, edits it into short-form content and otherwise supports digital promotional efforts for the year-round events calendar at ESE.

Sarrazin is entering his senior year at Westfield State University, where he is majoring in marketing. He is a proficient learner who can adapt to new challenges and has maintained standing on the dean’s list throughout his collegiate career.

Along with studying marketing and business, Sarrazin has gained hands-on experience in the marketing realm at McCray’s Farm and Country Creamery, an ice cream shop and farm store in his hometown. Originally hired to serve customers within the creamery, he showed initiative and took it upon himself to become the head of social media and marketing for the business. Whether it is the new following the business has gained on social media, or the increase of customers attending the farm’s many seasonal events, he has seen positive results.

“I’m very proud that I decided to lead the social media at McCray’s Farm three years ago, because I can now use what I’ve learned to assist Eastern States Exposition in their creative efforts,” said Sarrazin.

Sarrazin also assisted the Marketing team in creating content for Hooplandia, the Northeast’s Ultimate 3x3 Basketball Tourney + Festival, which brings people from all over the country to battle it out for the chance to play at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and to take home top honors.

“I was very fortunate to work with the Marketing team for Hooplandia, as it gave me a nice introduction to what my internship would entail during the Fair in September and October,” said Sarrazin.

“Nathan played a key role in bringing The Big E and Storrowton Village social media to life during the Fair,” said Greg Sanocki, ESE Digital Content Manager. “From highlighting the stories of The Big E vendors and museum volunteers to capturing the excitement of the Fair, his work elevated our social media presence while shining a spotlight on the people who make the Fair special.”

Sarrazin brought his relevant education, creativity, adaptive learning and organizational skills to the table as an intern and impressed senior leadership at ESE. He enjoyed working throughout The Big E and having the opportunity to promote the Fair to people across the country. He looks forwards to continuing his work with ESE.
