Learn about the history of New England’s storied harvest season! Find out how children helped during this important time of year and how their school year looked very different because of it. See the Clark Blacksmith Shop, make candles and tin sconces, tour our gardens and decorate a gourd, hear the history of the modern Jack-o-Lantern, make a historical Halloween mask, and more!

The event will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, October 29. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit various hands-on activity stations throughout the museum and learn historical information about the New England Harvest season from costumed interpreters. Children must be accompanied by an adult and adults are encouraged to participate in hands-on activities as well.

This family event is geared for ages 7-12, but all are welcome and encouraged to participate. Please check in at the Museum Gift Shop. This event is rain or shine. Comfortable walking shoes recommended. Some locations for this event are wheelchair accessible.
