West Springfield Parish Cupboard

Eastern States Exposition recently donated a prize steer to the West Springfield Parish Cupboard. Acting on behalf of the Exposition and its Board of Directors, ESE President Gene Cassidy bid on and purchased the Highly Commended Steer at the 4-H Beef Auction, held during The Big E. The 1,230 lb. Maine Anjou steer sold for $4.50/lb. and produced approximately 750 lbs. of meat of exceptional quality.

Military Appreciation Day

The Exposition remains committed to all our military personnel and veterans. On Military Appreciation Day, we welcome active duty military personnel and their dependents, as well as veterans, to enjoy the Fair free of charge. The day is sponsored by the VA New England Healthcare System, and our Avenue of States is full of organizations offering benefits and services to all who visit. This day has become the largest outreach event for veterans in all of New England and Eastern States has been recognized as a national leader for its support to veterans.

Eastern States Exposition is a proud supporter and partner of Klingberg Family Centers and their mission to help build healing relationships that empower children and families to reach their full potential. The Exposition is a platinum sponsor of the Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Festival and formed a partnership with Klingberg in 2015 to assist in the production of The Big E's Collector Car Experience.

Economic Impact of Eastern States Exposition is $479,000,000

Eastern States Exposition attracts more than 2.5 million people to its 120 year-round events including 1.4 million visitors to The Big E, the fifth largest fair in North America. Eastern States Exposition not only provides a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience for its visitors, it also promotes the agriculture and culture of New England and pumps almost a half billion dollars into the economy of the region.

In a study, conducted by Regional Economic Models, Inc., (REMI) of Amherst, Mass., the overall economic impact of ESE is $479,000,000 with a Gross Regional Product (analogous to the national Gross Domestic Product) of over $299 million annually.
